Past M.D. was formed in August 2004 by guitarist Detlef D.P. Poschmann and vocalist Jorg Reuter. Both had worked together in German Metal Band Midnight Darkness, who released the album Holding the Night through GAMA records in September 1985. It was during this period, that DP and Jorg established their songwriting partnership.

Unfortunately MD split up shortly after, however D.P. and Jorg were soon to form the follow up BornChild. Until 1989, BornChild played numerous shows in Germany and the Netherlands, among others as support for Tygers Of Pan-Tang and Magnum. It was only when Jorg left the Band, that the musical collaboration with D.P. ended.

When they met again 15 years later, both realized, that they still share the same visions about a Band and its music and that their future can only lie in that one band. D.P. & Jorg decided to write enough songs first, before they put the band together. They agreed that the name of the band should bear a resemblance to the days of Midnight Darkness hence Past M.D. was born.

In June 2007 Past M.D. was completed with Andre Zimmermann on drums, Frank „Butcher“ Schneiders on bass and Marcel Planz, guitars & backings. Andre and Frank recorded their parts for the Debutalbum Part Time Rebellion in November 2007 at the Crownhyll Studios in Oberhausen, Germany. Afterwards the album received its final mix & mastering through Rudy Kronenberger, also at the Crownhyll Studios.

Past M.D. sold the first copies of Part Time Rebellion via Internet & concerts, but in September 2008 they found with Bellaphon records the company they've been looking for. Finally Part Time Rebellion will be released world- wide on the legendary Bacillus Label on November, 7th.2008.
