Biografia : Narsilion (ESP)

The beginnings of Narsilion music date back to year 1999, when Sathorys Elenorth starts out a solo project where the elements from the fantastic side of medieval tradition blends with neoclassical parts inspired by sadness, loneliness and nature as essential milestones... Not much later, in year 2000, Sathorys Elenorth records his first demo with the name Lacrima Profundere, to which two more demos follow, Ancient Medieval Times and Autumnal Caress... It's then when Lady Nott, who in those times was playing violin and singing in the bands Gotlethe and Nocturn joins this project, carrying with her all her art and dedication to the band that would become, named by both of them, Aranmanoth. It's year 2002 when Aranmanoth comes to an end when for its members form a new band together with the singer Lady Morte which later on they would call Ordo Funebris. After releasing a demo and two albums with international distribution on Drama Company, the band resolves to end their path and not much later they split up.

It's then, in September 2003, when Lady Nott and Sathorys Elenorth undertake again their former project, picking up again the essence one day shone in their hearts and, as a result of this new stage, they create a new sunrise for their next works under the name of Narsilion, an elfic word that means: the song of the moon and the sun... In December 2003 Sathorys (voice, keyboards, percussion and classical guitar) and Lady Nott (voice, violin and recorder) enter Maxim Sound Studios in Barcelona to set about recording their first demo entitled Return to the Silver Forest, inspired by the night's embrace... beyond those dreams one day made us feel magic in a world filled with deep an enchanted woods... where elves, fairies and other beautiful creatures dance at the sound of unclosed legends, told under the gentle gaze of mother earth... On March 7th 2004, the band self-releases a demo with their own label, Earendil Records, receiving enthusiastic reviews from the public and the music press alike and it allows them to get their first deal with Caustic Records in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

After signing with Caustic Records, the band moves down to studios again to give shape to their first full-length album, entitled Nerbeleth (an elfic word that means "nightfall" or "sunset"). During the recording process of Nerbeleth, Dark Wind (flutes) joins the band, first as a session player and later as a full-time member. In October 2004 Nerbeleth is officialy released, and it becomes an event on the main specialized-music press and other media, that receive with praise the new album both in national and international levels... After this, Narsilion set off to play their work on stage, supporting the album in several places, both in and out of catalan territory, sharing bill with such bands as GOR (Ataraxia's percussionist project) and Morpheus amongst others...

After supporting live their debut album, the band set about working on their second album, which they will bring to life between August and December 2005 at the same studios which saw the birth of their first record some time before... This time, the title chosen by the band would be Arcadia, and the inspirations would cry again far away from our world, wrapped up in eternal and enchanted forests and tales from beyond the pillars of the night, where ten brand-new tracks already were playing from the true heart of nature... This album would be released in May 2006 through the label Caustic Records, presented in a beautiful A5 digipack edition, work of the eminent designer Ricardo Marichal. Arcadia would be, no doubt, the album which would rise up the band to the first positions in several playlists from both Europe and USA, achieving with its dream-like essence some unbeatable reviews, and even receiving a rating of 10 out of 10 in the well-known Orkus Magazine. This album would also allow them to share bill with such bands as Dark Sanctuary and Stille Volk amongst others... It would be in January 2007 when the band gets an offer from the eminent german label Ars Musica Diffundere / Black Rain to release their forthcoming third album, and this way both sides would seal a beautiful agreement based on friendship and the passion which all of them feel for music... After signing to Black Rain, Narsilion releases a preview track from their forthcoming album called Enmig del Silenci, which would be included in a compilation album amongst other bands from their current label under the name of Compilation Vol. 2. Later on, in May 2007, Narsilion make a trip to Leipzig (Germany) to perform in the most well-known festival Wave Gothic Treffen, sharing bill with the australian band Dandelion Wine in the beautiful Shauspielhaus theatre, where it would be allowed to them to bring their magic beyond their borders. It would be few months later, exactly in August 2007, when the band enters again to the recording studios where Namárië, their expecting third full-length album, is bring to life. Not much later, in the middle of November 2007, Dark Wind decides to leave the band for personal reasons and, with his departure, Lady Nott and Sathorys Elenorth prepare themselves alone for the releasing of their new album. After so much effort, the band manages to adapt all the songs to the new line-up and, as a sign of their eternal passion for their music, they begin to compose new material under the name “A new beginning... in the land of the Silver Tears”... Currently Narsilion has just release its third work, Namárië, where the beauty of dreams fly far away in the deepest of its destinies. The band is also immersed in the recording process of its first professional video-clip inspired in one of their songs, El Retorn a la Infantesa. Finally, they are preparing the imminent presentation tour for their new album, where they will play in and out of Spain... Until then, receive the embrace of our mother earth to which only words of cry and devotion we can contribute in your name... It's time to dream in the land of the silver tears... Narsilion
