JACK SLATER stands for brutal, aggressive, fast, furious and on a high technical level performed DEATH METAL. This at first.

Because a detailed timeline is rather boring, just a few words to that: JACK SLATER was founded in 1995. Only Sobo (guit) and Sepp (drums) are left from the original line-up. The Horn took over the microphone in 1998 and Nandi (guitar) and Chris (bass) completed the line-up again in the middle of 2003.

In those nine years since the beginning, JACK SLATER unleashed a demotape "Abhängig" (1996), the 4-track minicd "Crescendo" (1998), the "leichenschmaus" promo (1999), the complete debut-album "Playcorpse" (2001, Gernhart Records)


and the recent "Metzgore promo 2003" onto the national and international death metal underground. With every release the status, the respect and the sympathy towards the band and last but not least the musical quality increased throughout the years. A whole bunch of good to overwhelming reviews and many fascinated metalheads on the numerous gigs speak a certain language: with their mixture of high-quality death metal, without ever forgetting the headbanger and the groove, and deep black humor packed into a massive live-performance, JACK SLATER are certainly on the right way to do.

The upcuming climax of their careere till now will be reached on 15.03.2004: the second full-length album Metzgore will be released to the world via CUDGEL AGENCY (eg Mastic Scum, Impending Doom, Tears of Decay, Profanity, Damnable, Kadath). Distributed via TWILIGHT VERTRIEB, Germany. And in the end of May they will approach to their first european tour together with the death metal veterans of DIVINE EMPIRE, INCANTATION and MASTER.
Recorded and mixed in 9 days in the Stonehenge Studios and mastered by DMS Mastering Studios, this album will top the great debut album "Playcorpse" in many ways: even more styled-through arrangements, even more clever compositions, even more grind'n'groove, even more aggressive vocals and an even better sound will catapult their second full-length output into the hearts, butts and necks of every death-maniac throughout the world. 9 Songs / 37 minutes of intense, technical death.
