Innerflesh was founded in the late summer of 2003 as a pure heavy metal-band by 5 companions, living in Uppsala, Sweden. One year later two of them had quit the band. To the rest of the band (Markus-guitar/vox, Peter-guitar and Gustaf-drums) it was "business as usual." The band evolved their music from heavy metal to death-thrash metal. During this period several bass-player joined the band. But none of thee did fit the band.

2005 the first demo, "The flesh unleashed" was released, 5 songs including one Sepultura cover. During the period from summer -05 to the winter of -06 the music evolved further one step. Death-thrash metal suddenly became brutal death metal.

During the 2006 Innerflesh released their second demo, "Death appeared from below". And this is how it all started.
