Biografia : Impaler (USA)

Twenty-one years ago in the frozen metropolis of St Paul, Minnesota, the blood soaked heavy metal band Impaler was born. The band quickly gained attention for their onstage horror movie based theatrics, complete with cages, pyro and more blood usage than a good day on a movie set with Lucio Fulci. Their early demo tape called "Vicious Demos" was quickly in demand, eventually resulting in a record deal with the mighty Combat Records. The release of "Rise Of The Mutants" and "If We Had Brains...We'd Be Dangerous" led to the band's first tour called the "Brainless Mutants Tour" and their first video for the song "Blood Bath". This song was also featured on the Combat Compilation called "Bullets" which also had labelmates Exodus and Megadeth. There is even a cameo of the "Mutants" album cover appearing in the cult horror movie "Trick or Treat". Also, in the 80's during one of Tipper Gore's little tyrades, the PMRC formed and had Impaler on their most hated list of offensive Metal bands. Did that stop them? Hell no!! Through the years and inevitable lineup changes, the band has defintely kept the spirit alive (undead?) through several albums and tours. 2003 saw the return of original bassist Commander Court Hawley. Freshly reanimated and now supporting a brand new DVD called "20 Years Undead", Impaler has no intentions of slowing down. Their forthcoming CD "Habeus Corpus" will soon be upon you! Check cautiously for the hearse in your rear view mirror...the meatwagon will be coming your way!
