Biografia : Fused

The metal Seattle scene was stagnant until September of 2004 when the fusion started blending the best of the 70s hard rock sounds, 80s metal bands, and the new wave of 90s metal stoner rock bands. In August of 2005 the first self titled EP saw the light. At this point, there was no turning back. The fusion of different backgrounds, cultures, musical tastes and generations created a very unique blend of sounds that powered the new band in to new territories. While getting tighter as a live act during the summer gigs of 2006, they went back to the studio and started recording new original material from July to October of 2006. A more mature and conceptual idea materialized when "King of the Desert" was finally released in November of 2006. Fused went on playing every single stage that they could get on around Washington State, promoting their latest release, receiving a warm reception from audiences, and getting good reviews from overseas. 2007 saw the band growing up, playing more live shows, gaining local recognition, and even going on its first mini tour outside of WA State. By this time, the sound of the band had grown and drifted significantly from its seminal years to a more complex, richer amalgam. A new logo was created and a renewed energy pushed the fusion musically, but also lyrically, into the realms of philosophy, metaphysics, religion, and a search for truth and spiritual knowledge. The band took a short hiatus at the end of the year and re-grouped by late December of 2007 with enough new material to hit the studio again. In February of 2008 the first 10 drum tracks that would eventually become the seed of a brand new full length album were recorded. Finally, after almost two years of recording “The Obliquity of the Ecliptic” saw the light in August of 2009, the best record produced by Fused so far. Several line ups later…the history of the band is still being written...
