FORNACE was created by POSSESED (bass) and GNOLL (drums) in the autumn 2000.The first session were played in the GNOLL's garage, we played cover of old Sepultura, Sodom, Rotting Christ, Dark Throne, Hellhammer but soon FORNACE create own songs. In the spring 2001 S.666 and BLOODWORM become part of the band like vocalist and guitarist, but after some months they decided to leave the band for no interest. The idea to record a demo tape becomes an obsession for FORNACE, so we call ANS like session guitar and GNOLL dedicate himself also to the vocals. We worked little time for our first demo “Highest Towers” and it result a bit weak cause also for the bad sound. After this release ANS returned to work with his project (like he told before) and after some months FORNACE find a guitarist in the person of OBSOLETE. In the spring 2004 we recorded our second tape “The Man who wanted change the World”, the songs are similar to the first demo but worked very well and the sound were great. After a pause FORNACE are returned to work on new songs and our style is the same: death/black old style. In March 2006 OBSOLETE leaves FORNACE for being able itself to dedicate to the other its band of swedish black metal (ERODED). It comes recruited Matteo to the guitar for being able to work to the new album.
