Biografia : Feuerschwanz

Armed with the charms of incurably mayhem-loving entertainers, the jokey-cum-boozy comedian souls around Hauptmann Feuerschwanz aim for nothing less than your hearts and souls. The strong brew kindly being served here consists of perky guitar riffs and explosive yet playful medieval-style folk music – all combined with hilarious trips to the realm of comedy on-stage.

In musical terms, there has been a continuous development during the five years of the band's existence. With the release of their third studio album, Metvernichter, the troupe from Erlangen, Germany, deliver a celebration of the Medieval era in a flood of honey-coloured mirth by means of the bagpipe and the electronic lute.

Get ready! The wicked lot around the "Hauptmann" score again. Just a short time after the six-piece entertainment troupe discovered the legendary origin of true mead (that is what they claim, and there is no reason whatsoever for not believing them), there was absolutely no doubt that, following 2 studio and 1 live album, another silver piece had to be created to celebrate this epiphany in the 800-year old history of the band.

And here they go! With unleashed and mead-fuelled energy, they continue with what was indicated on the Drachentanz live album. Feuerschwanz are louder, more wicked (and harder...) than ever before!

So the jokey-cum-boozy gang around their brilliant leader Hauptmann Feuerschwanz sing about everything so dearly beloved by the medievally-minded. Whether it is the in-style behaviour in case of pandemics or the gross customs of obese trolls, the outrageous truths about medieval physical hygiene or simply the substance hold so dear by the band: MEAD.

Adding to the well-known medieval-style sounds that are mixed with ska rhythms, there are metallic walls of sound, blaring bagpipes and, once again lyrics that help prevent full cups, dry throats and non-moving feet. So raise your glasses, party with us, and always remember:

We are all METVERNICHTERS!
