Fear Factory was originally formed in late 1990 in Los Angeles, USA. In their early days they were quite a traditional speed metal band but they developed a new sound and their unique blend of techno and industrial metal made them very successful. Because of personal differences and mixed reviews of their last album they disbanded in March 2002 as Burton decided to leave the band. In August the band was once again back together.
