Easy Rider was formed around 1990 by the musicians who constituted then their basic lineup: Javier Villanueva (Guitar), Daniel Castellanos (Guitar), Jose Villanueva (Bass) and Antonio Chaves (Drums).

Over the years, there were different candidates for lead vocals. From 1992 until 1996 Javier Villanueva took the responsibility until the vacancy was filled by Eugenio Garaneda in 1996.

The style of Easy Rider captures different trends from many sub genres of rock music. Their influences ranged from the legendary names of bands such as: Iron Maiden, Helloween, King Diamond, Gamma Ray to more progressive bands like: Dream Theater, Conception, Sanvoisen, Pantera, etc...

Easy Rider's first album "Perfecta Creacion" was released in 1997. Including 9 tracks, the CD went received positive feedback from the media specializing in Heavy Metal.

In December 1997, the band entered the rehearsal room to compose and record new demos for their forthcoming album which eventually was recorded in June/September of 1998. Their second work entitled; "Lord of the Storm" was completely sung in English to ready the band for an International Market. Evident immediately was a more dynamic feel featuring songs that were based in part on a traditional metal style but also incorporating a modern sound.

Easy Rider marked their career thanks to concerts in Spain sharing the stage with such acclaimed musicians and bands like: Yngwie Malmsteen, Blind Guardian and Manowar.

They also participated in the Eurometal festival "99" with other artists such as Gamma Ray, Hammerfall, Angra and Stratovarius.

The same year, Easy Rider was voted best newcomer band by the readers of Heavy Rock magazine, Spain.

The Rock Machina 2000 festival was a grand finale to cap off their "Storm tour 99/00" Playing at the huge venue along others such as Running Wild, Labyrinth, Metalium, Edguy, Virgin Steele.

The year 2000 also marked the release of their third album; "Evilution". It received rave reviews and Critics praised it for being; "A much stronger album with mature songwriting and totally metal!" Evilution featured Hard driving power metal with Halford like vocals, intense guitar work and a polished production by Guitarist/producer; Dani Castellanos.

In the same year, Eugenio Garaneda and Antonio Chaves decided to leave Easy Rider due to career changes.

Intense tryouts followed and in 2001 the drummer vacancy was filled by Rafa Diaz (Ex Knell Odissey, Asgard, Sabatan and Mountains of Madness).

After a long search for a singer, Easy Rider announced American Ron Finn as their new vocalist. Ron's past music history dates back to 1986 when he co-founded the metal band; Mace. Working with well-known producer Joe Viglione (who produced the first album of the band) MaceE was featured in a compilation "Massachusetts Metal" which was released in the U.S. and parts of Europe. Mace had great impact playing with bands such as Anthrax, Armored Saint, Saxon and Manowar. After the breakup of the band in 1993, Ron joined up with another trio of strong players to form Mad Jack.
Eventually Ron auditioned for Easy Rider and was given the position.

The end to the year 2001 was spent working on what would become the bands' fourth album; "Regeneration". A name later conceived to express the new beginning of the band of which everyone was excited about. With oceans between, the internet became a vehicle in which Ron and the band would trade ideas through. In January of 2002, Ron returned to Spain once again to record the vocals for the Regeneration sessions.

In the following months, Dani Castellanos went on to produce and mix the album. EASY RIDER's fourth effort was released in Spain on April 29th, 2002. What followed was a chain of positive reviews that echoed the band's future was back on track.
