Biografia : Dyscord

Heavy music is not often smiled upon in the realms of popular music. Bands are often passed on in favor of more universally likeable music. One band that refuses to be denied is Dyscord. Hailing from Perth's northern suburbs, Dyscord fuse elements of Metal, Hardcore & Metalcore into a cohesive and well structured sound. Uncompromisingly brutal with generous splashes of melody, the band has achieved much in their short 3 year stint on the music scene. High profile CD launch slots, performances on both the annual Cosmonautical and Joondalup Festivals, national supports with the likes of Mudvayne, The Haunted, I Killed The Prom Queen, Against, Five Star Prison Cell, Daysend, The Mark of Cain, Tidal, Embodiment 12:14, Alchemist, In Name & Blood, Contrive and The Deadwalk! are just some of the bands achievements.

With an intense, chaotic live show harnessing strong dynamics and masterful stage presence, Dyscord aim not only to please fans of the heavier persuasion, but also to convert an otherwise neglected audience of music fans who do not favour the heavy genre. This open minded outlook on their own music and where they stand in the Perth scene, saw Dyscord through to the semi finals of the coveted Next Big Thing competition.

Dyscord show no signs of slowing their momentum, with production for their debut E.P. complete, a launch date set at April 22nd 2006, and national tours in the pipeline. The band will continue to bombard the Perth scene with relentless live shows putting 100 percent into every venture they partake in. With the emphasis very much on professionalism, Dyscord refuse to go unnoticed.
