Dodsferd is a black metal band former in 2001. Founded by Wrath as a one-man-band from Athens Greece with session members. The name of the band means journey of death in Norwegian, Wrath chose it because it exposes darkest desires of humanity.

Back in 2001, Wrath was recording a few tapes with 2 guitars only and and him screaming lyrics written by himself in order to erase the pain in his head. 2 years later in the end of 2003, he recorded and self-released his official demo Kruzifixxion of Human Disgust with 300 copies of CD and 150 copies of tape. He then self-released another demo in the next year of 2004 with 33 copies titled Dodsferd.

In 2006 they signed with BlackMetal.com label and released their debut album Desecrating the Spirit of Life. Next year in 2007 the band signed with Moribund Records and released Fucking Your Creation and Cursing Your Will to Live in the same year. Continue with Moribund Records they released Death Set the Beginning of My Journey in 2008 and Suicide and the Rest of Your Kind Will Follow in 2009, from then the band became full member band. The band did total 8 splits.
