DESPISE was founded in Kolin in 1998. In the beginning, as any other band, DESPISE was pursued with many line-up problems. The idea to devote in much more serious creation ( after numerous perverse projects ) arose from David "Dejvy" Kredl ( guitar ). He was joined with Jaroslav "Beavis" Petrik ( bass ). The first stimulus which made things move came from drummer Tomas Corn ( LYKATHEA AFLAME ) who joined the band in the same year. Dejvy cared for all musical stuff and because the music was almost ready, they began to test it. At the break of 2000/2001 band spreaded. Michal Sepp Kusak and Jaroslav Santrucek( 3 own songs, one cover PYREXIA..s Confrontation ) called Confinement In Decrepitude full of uncompromising death/grind madness. Even though it could seem that DESPISE is a project of guys from IMPERIAL FOETICIDE IT¡S NOT TRUE!!!!! DESPISE is an independent band which has to reduce its concert activities due to some members and their main band IMPERIAL FOETICIDE. Stuff recorded in 2001 was released as a split CD with fellow band IMPERIAL FOETICIDE by Czech label GRODHAISN Prod. 500 CDs were put out (includes re-edition). The CD is a multi media one and you can find not only music but also tons of photos and 10 videos there. CD also contains one new bonus song called Millennium Fuck which was recorded in DESPISE and IF..s home studio.

The band DESPISE has played about 150 gigs round Europe till now. DESPISE have played on stages in France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Slovakia, Poland and of course its own country Czech Republic along with such bands like GORGASM (US), KRISIUN (BRA), NECROPHAGIST (D), WASTEFORM (US), THE CROWN, SKINLESS (US), VOMIT REMNANTS (JAP), SEPTYCAL GORGE (IT), MONOLITH, DEFORMED, CRANIOTOMY, TWILIGHT OF CHRIST, FLESHLESS, GODLESS TRUTH, LANIENA MENTIS, CONTRASTIC, POPPY SEED GRINDER etc. They even attended the prestigious BRUTAL ASSAULT fest in 2003 and 2005. And this year the plan is to play at the OBSCENE EXTREME Fest and some more shows round Europe.

Among other successes belongs licensing the split CD DESPISE/IMPERIAL FOETICIDE by ARRACK Rec. in Indonesia.

In 2005 DESPISE already completed and recorded stuff for split MCD with American LUST OF DECAY which contained two songs (Philantrophic Depravity and Millennium Fuck Final version). It was again recorded in home studio of DESPISE and IMPERIAL FOETICIDE.

MCD was released in cooperation with two Czech underground labels GRODHAISN prod. and BIZZARE LEPROUS prod. at the end of 2004. 1000 CDs were put out and this amount is sold out. Re-release of this MCD is coming soon. The MCD was made as a special paper edition and as a bonus you can get a coloured poster.

The year of 2005 was very productive for DESPISE!!!! The drummer Tomas Corn came back to the band. The band started to make new staff with him and consecutively recorded new two-song Promo CD. Promo is Promoted to whole world metal underground. DESPISE made new webpages (www.despise.cz) and made contract to new debut album named Fragments Of Reprisal with LACERATED ENEMY rec.

During the year the band played more than 40 concerts. In the year the band filmed first own video Millenium Fuck, and after this experience the band decided to make the other professional clip directed by Pavel Jecelin. The clip was made with assistance of professional actors. The name of song is Spiral of Paranoia. In the end of year also made the profesional live video from HELL..s BELL..s club, which will be released on DVD-R in the beginning of 2006. The number of DVD copies available will be about 200.

The plans for 2006 are also challenging and the band won..t stop in their activity. Now is a new Promo CD is being prepared in one of the best Czech music studio Hostivar
