Biografia : Denet

The band has been founded by a few enthusiastic mates from the Ludovít Štúr Primary School in May 1984.
The founder members were at the time Petr Kuneš and Jaromír Opiela who became the real core of the band. Soon they were joined by other members David Szalay and Lubomír Kanyza.
In 1988 Roman Kříbek appears and performs in the group for the first time. His coming allows Jarek to change from bass guitar playing to his longed guitar and by this event he starts the avalanche of personal and musical changes in the group..s development. After another guitar player..s, Jarek Pirkl, arrival the band completes the first collection of really wild songs called “OSLAVY ZLA“ (The Celebration of Evil).
It was year 1989 and Czech republic was hungry for metal bands. There was very high attandence at the concerts, people were driving long distances to see the production, albums and demos are sold out quickly without any advertisement.
In September 1989, just by chance, the band meets another pack of wild people called TERMINATOR from South Moravia. They were excited by the concert of DENET and so they strated to cooperate in managing another concerts.
After their invitation, Denet arrives to Bzenec to the festival Attack of Fire in February 1990 after which the concert twister through the whole Czech republic started.
Denet is experiencing enormous and explosive rising of their popularity but at the same time suffering from the inner crisis. The guitar player Jarek Pirkl is leaving the band and after unbelievably botchy show in Poland, bass guitar player, loud-mouthed Roman Kříbek too. Shortly after Roman started his own project CRUX.
Petr Šrámek fills the empty guitar space and Jarek Opiela, besides second guitar, takes also the microphone part. After bass guitar player Radek Hložánek..s arrival the band records demo called “KREV“ (Blood) in 1992.
After another bass-guitar post..s change when Baron from Mohelnice..s formation APOSTASY appeared in the band, DENET records its first CD in September 1993 – “TERRESTRIAL DYING“. New concerts come but in 1994 the band is left by the founding member – drummer Petr Kuneš. He is replaced by Pavel Stejskal. The band records short new demo “SATORI“, but no new repertoire is created. Jarek Opiela leaves the band and goes abroad to earn his living and DENET finishes as the band.
In 2000 DENET records three songs demo called “About it“ – in formation David Ševčík – drums; Roman Papánek –bass guitar; Jaromír Opiela – guitar, vocals and Petr Šrámek as a guest, playing guitar and keyboard. Unfortunately there was no publisher for the demo and so it is available with other songs only on the following website: http://kapeladenet.sweb.cz/Média.htm.
In April 2005 the original formation meets for a short time: Kuneš – Opiela – Kříbek. It seems they have enough energy to make up a big rumpus but it doesn..t last long. In September 2005 they had a performance as forrunners of German GRAVE DIGGER in Pardubice. Then they perform in 2007 when bass guitar takes Baron again and second guitar substituted by Petr Háček who contributed higly in the lyrics in Terrestrial Dying album. The two last concerts were held in the clubs “Chlív“ and “Underground Arena“ in Ostrava. But nothing else happened – similar situation as in 2005.
Now it is 2009 and Denet rehearse hard again and prepare material for their new album in the formation.
