Demiurge started its butchering underground music about 1997. Addicted to death metal and black metal, I wanted to create a brutal band!
One year and a half after the band was entierely formed! We changed the name to VISCERAL STRANGULATION. The band became a brutal death band and more to more influenced by Grind music. We recorded at this time a 2 songs demo at Repet Plus studio from Lyon (2000).
In 2001 a new guitarist came. We made some stages and a new studio recording of 4 songs. In the end of this period came the 4 Way Tape Morgue / Atavism / Visceral Strangulation / Desecrator in our mini underground label : Putrefaction Vomitricide. This 90 min Tape was a gore butchery!!! All the bands made a Mortician cover and Visceral Strangulation added its 2 studio recordings. But a few people was interested on it. It was ditributed by labels as Adipocere / Dead Sun / Necroharmonic / Morbid Rec ...
And some members left the band.
Guitarist Lucas come then to the drums! Then we made a very very underground and unholy gore grind demo. It's for me the best recording. After 2 news guitarists the band turned to brutal death grind in the mighty Agony Conscience way. We recorded a rehearsal demo CD-R "Underground O'Clock".
Then I left the band cause its members become motiveless except me.
At this time I changed the name to DEMIURGE as in the first period. Also more unholiness in the music !!!
Some months after I recorded Call of the Undead at Electrogene studio from Saint bonnet de mure. I made all the voices and instruments excepted solos guitar made by Crone (guitarist in Visceral Strangulation). Some months later this album came in demo CD-R.
Deadsun rec was interested to make this CDR demo on real CD ! It was remasterised by a professional.
