Dark remains was formed december 1998 by Frank, André (Warmaster, ex-Eternal Solstice) and Ramon (Eternal Soltice). Ramon left the band already soon and was replaced by Saidi. At the end of 1999 a suitable vocalist was found in RSD Xul (Funeral Winds). With this line up Dark Remains performed a lot on stage, which resulted in a deal with Cleansweep Productions. In 2002 Dark Remains' released their debut-cd "Death Manifestation", 45 minutes of Old School Death Metal influenced by acts such as Immolation and slow Cannibal Corpse. After finishing the "Death Manifestation" Rik was recruited as a bass player and Saidi got replaced by Bob. After these line up-changes the band continued to perform in order to promote "Death Manifestation". After a short break and Bob leaving Dark Remains, the band started recording their sophomore record "Planet Earth Scourged" and signed a deal with Burning Misery Records! After recording "Planet Earth Scourged" RSD Xul decided to quit Dark Remains and got replaced by Erwin. With Erwin joining te band, Dark Remains is ready to play live again!
