Another year another bio, add a few lines, change a few sales figures, lie a bit about your career so far and make yourself seem perfect! Once again I've been asked to update the bio but what the fuck is there to say that hasn't already been said, I mean you all know that we've been around for years and years, you all know we're better & tighter than ever, you all know we were playing rap-metal-crossover-nu-metal before we knew what it was and before the term was even invented and you all know it doesn't really mean shit as we sound nothing like all the those MTV bands out there that we're always compared to! That has always been our biggest strength and our biggest weakness, the fact that we simply don't fit into the format! We've never had the decency to dress in the proper & correct streetwear, get the right tattoos or say the right things at the right time for the sake of shifting units or making the headlines in the evening papers! In other words we have no commercial potential according to the standards that have been set by the industry but to me that is the perfect reason as to why we should sell more than all the motherfuckers out there! We're the real
deal, for better and for worse, what we've got is what you're getting and if you don't like it then big deal, we're not here to suck corporate cock or give you cool oneliners, we do this becos' we believe we have something unique & we enjoy doing it, we just say what's on our minds, right or wrong, true or false, serious or humourous, take it or leave it!


Anyway what's really important here is the fact that we have a new album that is the best we've made in a long time, it feels special as it's the first one where we have not been pushing and pulling as much with eachother, there have been no Sweden vs. Norway battles (well not many anyway!:D) I guess being one less member has made things easier in alot of ways as it's one less opinion to take into consideration and one less direction to try and fit into the mix!! Also there has been no speculating or thinking too much about what is right or wrong, we have just done whatever has come out of us naturally without analyzing or dissecting, it's just pure raw feelings

lyrically and musically, more heartfelt & probably less commercial than ever!:D Not to say it's been easy to make & not to say that our previous albums have been very commercial, contrived or planned from the start but with the last few albums there was a certain amount of tension and opinions that differed between us, there were also occasional moments of doubt where we listened too much to other people and at times occasionally thought too much about what might or might not work with our audiences....shame on us!;D Still, compared to whichever fabricated shitband you chose to compare us to, we have always had total control & freedom to look and sound exactly how we like so so all the mistakes we've made along the way have been thanx to our own bad taste & lack of judgement! What the hell, no one starts out being perfect like a diamond!:D


To me our new album has the highest percentage of songs that I am pleased with and proud of since we released Deaf, Dumb, Blind in 1993 which maybe doesn't say much to whoever is reading this but for me it's obviously a very gratifying feeling as I'm always the negative creep bitching about everything I think is wrong! Damn it's always a struggle within a band as the whole democratic process of writing and recording sometimes leads to the one who speaks out the loudest getting the final say, which obviously leads to the other members feeling disappointed & run over instead of happy, satisfied and proud but I guess that's just how democracy works!: ) Idealistically only songs that the whole band agree are fucking great should be saved, recorded and released to the public, the rest should automatically

be deleted, in reality it's never that simple! Still this time we're closer than ever, the new songs are raw, there are hardly any keyboards or samples, 99% of the drums are live this time and the whole approach is simply more live, gritty, hardcore, more on point & it's cool as fuck;D As for the current state of Rapmetal, crossover, nu-metal or whatever you chose to call it well we have no idea where it's at, where it was or what it's ever been and we honestly couldn't give a rats ass because we've never been very interested, we just try and create music we think is slammin & fresh to our ears and that's all that matters regardless of current trends and other diseases!


This album is also the first one that is written, recorded & produced entirely by us, no outsiders were involved, no one made the decisions for us & no one told us what was right or wrong. It's a great freedom to rule your own time & space but it also puts alot of pressure on you as there is no one there to tell you when a song is ready and when it's time to stop and start on a new song! There are always parts that can be played or sung better and the more you work on a song the more you tend to get caught up in the process so it's an art to be able to call a song finished and put it aside! Still I would like to think that after 15 years together we must have learned something about how to get the job done and when to let things go and move on! If nothing else then this new album is proof that we've finally reached a point where

we're professional enough to be our own masters, relaxed enough to not fall into the pit of outside expectations and experts enough to be able to try out whatever idea we may have in our heads and pull it off! Anyway this is our latest offereing, we've done our part as best we can and we're damn fucking proud of it, now the next decision is up to you, either you like it or you don't, either you have taste or you don't, it all depends on you so sit back, turn up the volume to 11 and be our guests, Hate Yourself With Style!
