Cement Rain is a Brazilian thrash metal band from Porto Alegre, RS, formed in 2007. Founded by guitarist and songwriter Andre Mud (ex-The Wise) and drummer Percio Capone (ex-Tumour). In the early 1990s, Andre and Percio played in the same band (Wolverine) and became good friends but lost contact after the end of the band. More than 10 years later, they met again, during an Exodus show in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Various candidates were considered for the bass and vocal positions. In February 2008, after a rehearsal jam, Moises Disarmoneous, who was a part-time assistant in the studio, joined the band. In 2009, Cement Rain released their debut, a full-length album entitled "Escaping from the Apocalyptic City". A modern thrash metal with strong influences of Megadeth, Exodus, Grip Inc., Sepultura and Death. Cement Rain's lyrical themes often deal with horror movies, sci-fi, social issues, mental disorders and violence.
