Bywar started its activities in the beginning of 1997 with the intention of making Thrash Metal, to reach the bangers in a serious way and before all, honouring its roots. Later in the same year, they released the demo tape "The Evil's Attack/97" (soldout) and in 98, they appeared on the compilation CD "Source bands in collection/98" (sold out).
The first line up was Adriano Perfetto (GV), Vitor Regep (G), Hélio Patrizzi (B) and Enrico Ozio (D). With this line up settled since August 1997, the band got a contract with Hate Storm Records at the end of 2001, and then released the debut album "Invincible War" in April of 2002.
The band has also participated in a compilation made through a German website called Thrash Till Death and the compilation has the participation of bands like Delirium Tremens, Witchburner, Nocturnal. The chosen song was Thrasher's Return. This compilation was released for the Wacken Festival in 2002 and only 666 copies was released.
After a huge amount of gigs over the country and South America, they had start to write new songs for album, Heretic Signs that would be released through Megahard Records, but after many troubles with this label, the band decided to left the label.
In the meantime, the guitarist Victor Regep left Bywar and was replaced by Renan "Degolator" Roveran (ex-Alcoholikiller) after some problems with him.
Renan joined in the band at the same date of his birth.
The band played some shows with the new line up to be prepared for touring in Heretic Signs tour.
Kill Again Records released Heretic Signs and have re-release Invincible War in a split with Violator's Violent Mosh, with new artworks and a fuckin bonus, a cover of Desarter´s Metalized Blood with Sataniac as guest musician.

O Bywar iniciou suas atividades no início de 1997 com a intenção de fazer Thrash Metal, para alcançar bangers de modo sério e acima de tudo, honrar suas raízes. Mais tarde no mesmo ano, eles lançaram a demo tape The Evil's Attack/ 97 (esgotada) e em 98, eles apareceram no CD compilação Source bands in collection/98 (esgotada).
A primeira formação foi Adriano Perfetto (GV), Victor Regep (G), Hélio Patrizzi (Bx) e Enrico Ozio (B). Com esta formação desde Agosto de 1997, a banda conseguiu um contrato com a Hate Storm Records ao fim de 2001 e lançou o álbum Invincible War em Abril de 2002.
A banda também participou de uma compilação feita por um site germânico chamado Thrash till Death a qual conta com a participação de bandas como Delirium Tremens, Witchburner, Nocturnal. Após vários shows pelo país e pela América Latina, eles começaram a compor sons para o novo álbum, Heretic Signs, o qual após alguns problemas com a gravadora Hate Storm que encerrou suas atividades, seria lançado pela Mega Hard Records, mas, após muitos problemas com o selo a banda decidiu abandonar o mesmo.
Durante este tempo o guitarrista Victor Regep foi substituído por Renan Degolator Roveran (ex-Alcoholikiller) após problemas com o mesmo.
A banda fez alguns shows com a nova formação para se preparar para uma turnê do Heretic Signs.
Kill Again Records lançou Heretic Signs e relançou Invincible War em um split com o disco Violent Mosh do Violator, com nova arte gráfica e um bônus, um cover da música Metalized Blood da banda alemã Desaster, contando com a participação do vocalista do Desaster, Sataniac.
Nos meses de Setembro e Outubro a banda participou de vários eventos importantes, tais como o programa Stay Heavy (www.stayheavy.com.br), apresentado pela allTV (www.altv.com.br), tocou no festival Brutal Devastation (Belo Horizonte-MG) ao lado de bandas como Chakal, Witchhammer, Extreme Hate, Disgrace and Terror, Ocultan, dentre outras, obtendo ótimas críticas da mídia especializada, abriu o show da banda alemã Desaster em Duque de Caxias (RJ) e da banda inglesa Napalm Death em Sto. André (SP).
Para novembro e Dezembro a banda possui datas em cidades do Centro-Oeste e alguns shows locais (estado de SP).
Em janeiro de 2006 o Bywar entrará em estúdio para gravar seu terceiro trabalho que deverá ser intitulado Twelve Devil's Graveyards.
