December 2006 - Nevio and Roberto start the band Black Pope in Trieste after the break up of a cover band where they played together. Nevio becomes the singer and the guitarist, while Roberto becomes the bass player.
December 2007 - After trying different musicians, Alessandro becomes the official drummer of the band.
With this third member they define the sound of Black Pope, a mix of rock and metal.
Their major influences are: Metallica, Slayer, Pantera and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
August 2009 - Black Pope play their first show at the Gloomy Day Festival in Montereale Valcellina.
Some time later they become part of the Ocularis Infernum roster, who starts promoting the band.
December 2009 - Mizio (King Bravado, Meat Torpedoes) joins Black Pope as guitarist.
January 2010 - Black Pope enter Track Terminal Studio to record their first EP "Habemus Papam Nigrum".
March 2010 - Roby leaves the band.
April 2010 - Matteo joins the band.
