Biografia : Black Palace

Black Palace owes its name to the Lecumberri prison, known as the Black Palace, now the National Archives, which opened in 1900. In the beginning was the house of countless social fractures, most of that time’s twisted were there. Many stories of torture and witchcraft have been linked to the name. This palace is taken up as a portal into torpor by having high concentration of negative energy.

In the words of the band, they are seeking to overthrow the tangible and intangible forces unserviceable of our times, to exalt the aggressive feelings and explore the human unconscious from an abstract approach.

They are a Mexican formation that takes as its starting point the sound of the early Norwegian black metal bands, adding sparkle and melodic death metal brutality. The project is not closed and like to experiment, allowing various influences disturb the sound order while affecting the harmonies already created.

The band was born in the winter of 2006 with Andras Vathor (Nightmare) as the founder and vocalist, accompanied by Malak (Radama) on guitar. A short time later joins the lineup on drums Rafael. Three moons afterwards Aphrodite comes as the second voice.

In late fall 2007, Nymphomanie comes as a drummer, and Volac enters as the second guitar. In mid 2008, Mortyfera replace Malak on the guitar.

For a variety of issues, in the summer of 2009 Black Palace is made up entirely of females. Lascivia comes in mid-late 2009 as a guitarist.

Nymphomanie, for personal reasons, left the project in early 2010, and with the arrival of spring it comes Andraz with the best base the band has had. In the early Fall Vritra joins on bass making way for a new and better sound to the Palace.

Mortyfera left weeks late, and Vritra started to be responsible for the choirs in addition to her instrument.

After the start of Spring 2011, Black Palace welcomes its new guitarist Ginebra.
