Our band was founded by Török József (drums), Kerekes Krisztián (guitar) and Ács Krisztián (vocal) in Budapest in January, 2002.

There were a lot of bands, who impressed us, for example : Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Six Feet Under, Morbid Angel. We played working ups from these bands too : Hammer Smashed Face, Postmortem, Raining Blood, Feasting on the blood (these songs had been left later).

This band was named Morass, started to work on new songs immediatly. Later, we got to know that exist another band with this name, but didn't want to change our name. We found a new lead guitarist (Bölöni Tamás), then joined us Liptai Gergely (bass guitar) in 2002 autumn.

By the way, he played in the band temporary, because he was originally a drummer. Our first demo with 2 songs (Hasadás, Utolsó) was recorded by Mecseki Tibor (Uborka) in the H-15 studio in december, 2002. It's only a „control” demo for us and our friends, not for distribution. We didn't intend to make a serious demo, the first day was for recording the next day for masterizing, we didn't struggle with it.

In the meantime, we played on shows. Unfortunately, this initial impetus was not a long period, though there were two concerts, after all we couldn't step forward because the vocalist Ács Krisztián (now My first Knife) and bass guitarist Liptai Gergely (now My first Knife, Long Pig) left the band. We accepted the reasons of these two guys, they left without anger. We started to look for members but naturally it needed some time to find suitable ones for us.

At last we found nearly the best members for the band that now uses the name „Art of Massacre” : Gyöngy Péter (guitarist), bass guitarist, Huszti Tibi from Szerencs and Ivanko Gergo from Tiszaújváros (vocals). Although this EP (called Massacre of Art) was recorded with Gergo at the end of changes, we found the best vocalist (Horvath Sandor) for our claim and the band's "image".

Perhaps in the last few years the band has prospered so much to evolve own direction line, own style.
The music is based on fast and agressive grind elements combinated „middling fast” themes. At last there are two guitars in concerts and songs can sound perfectly. What's more even the new members are really enthusiastic it's true they are younger than the old members, but we have found good mates in them.

We would like to get in touch with further bands on this site even abroad, have parties and attract fans.
