Biography Van Alberts: GUITARS&VOCALS Anton Alberts: DRUMS&VOCALS William Bishop: BASS ARCHITECTURE OF AGGRESSION is a Progressive- Thrash/death metal band hailing from Pretoria South-Africa. Our influences range from: Sepultura, Slayer, Testament, Fear Factory and Meshuggah. To Obituary, Deicide, Death, Malevolent Creation, Suffocation, Gorefest, Carcass, Samael, Cynic, even Dream Theatre and Tool.To name but a few!! Whilst still in high school the band was formed by brothers Van Zyl (guitars) and Anton Alberts (drums) in early 1995 and joined by Brian Liebenberg (bass).We then started playing the local scene in 1996 (Shaft, Wings Beatbar, Inferno, Cafe Galleria, The Pump Pub etc.) We left for London ( U.K ) in early 1998 after all the members had finished high school.We lived and gigged there for 2 and a half years. We Returned to South-Africa in October of 2000.We then parted ways with our bassist Brian. Due to the extreme difficulty in finding a suitable Bassist we deciced to attack the scene as a "Two Man" band for over a year. At the end of 2001 we were joined by then 'Shadowlord' Bassist Nardus, who remained with us until early 2003. We then continued our "Two Man" attack until early 2004 when we were joined by William Bishop on Bass duties. Architecture of Aggression is a very outspoken Band and is not afraid to tackle issues such as: Politics, Religions, Globalization, Consumerism and Censorship! Arhitecture of Aggression has played some highbrow gigs in the recent past. including: WITCHFEST EXTREME (WITCH DOCTOR RECORDS) OPENED FOR SWEDISH DEATH METAL ACT 'ENTOMBED' DEATH'S DAY OUT (AUTHENTIC IDEAS) WOODSTOCK6 2004 2-4-1 METAL FEST (RADIO TUKS)
