APOSTASIA is a french band created in august 1999 and comes from the town of Orléans. After several line-up changes, the band started to work intensily on some compositions. Right from the beginning, the musical objectives of the band are clear. APOSTASIA wants to create an alchemic elixir created by a mix of Black & Death Metal some industrial elements and some sampling.

Moreover, the band is ambitious and develops a concept based on the theosophic research: humanity"s birth and its forgotten knowledge. The first part is called "Martyrs of god". It"s a concept album based on the life and the death of Anthéa, at the XIVe century... the century of the inquisiton.

At the beginning of 2002, after its first concert with PENUMBRA, APOSTASIA signed a deal with Adipocere records and "Martyrs of god" is finally released in may 2002.

In the fall of 2002, the band has made its first 17 dates french tour with Furia and Your Shapeless Beauty.

APOSTASIA will release its second album in the second part of the year 2003...
