Biografia : Anaal Nathrakh

Anaal Nathrakh was created in 1999 for one purpose - to be the soundtrack for Armageddon, and the audile essence of evil, hatred and violence. The true spirit of necro was to be taken to its musical extremes. The band is made up of musician / artist Irrumator and vocalist V.I.T.R.I.O.L. This demonic duo has never been subject to hype, never been a vehicle for personal promotion, and never claimed anything it couldn't deliver musically.

There were two demos, the first, self titled, in early 1999 and the second, "Total Fucking Necro", in September of the same year. Their seamless combination of the best elements of MAYHEM, BURZUM and DARKTHRONE lead them to be labeled the best black metal band in England as well as the angriest band in the world! This musical plague spread rapidly through the internet's metal channels as the band reached the top 5 on MP3.com's Black Metal Chart with a total of over 30,000 downloads! Praise also came from the genre's grim godfather's themselves, MAYHEM, who praised ANAAL's terrifying rendition of "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" which appears on the "Total Fucking Necro" demo.

The dark age of extreme necro had arrived. In 2001, Anaal Nathrakh set loose their much anticipated debut album "The Codex Necro" through cult UK underground label Mordgrimm. And the list of accolades grew - Album of the Month in Terrorizer with a 9.5 out of 10! The band were eventually voted best newcomer of 2001 by the readers of Terrorizer plus "The Codex Necro" was named #8 Album of the Year by the much respected writers of the magazine. The debut also received a 4 out of 5 in the utterly historic UK magazine, Kerrang!.

In January, 2003, the puny human's of earth suffered the birth of the band's new EP, "When Fire Rains Down From The Sky, Mankind Will Reap As It Has Sown" again via Mordgrimm Records. This 6 song hell razor features the apocalyptic nihilism of guests, Sethians Teitan (ABORYM) and Attila Csihar (ABORYM, MAYHEM, TORMENTOR)! Again, this CD was named Terrorizer CD of the month scoring a scalding 9.5 out of 10, along with hails in many other respected metal publications. And the torment of 2003 didn't stop there. Due to the extreme demand from the metal scene's falling angels, Anaal Nathrakh's two long out-of-print demos were release on one CD, entitled, "Total Fucking Necro", through cult UK label, Rage of Achilles. US doom label Southern Lord was next to kneel with the unleashing of "The Beast of Attila" which featured the black priest's remix of the Anaal Nathrakh's grim hymn, "Atavism". At this point, the band was impossible to ignore and in November of the same year, they recorded 4 scorching tracks as a Peel Session with the BBC's legendary Radio 1 DJ, John Peel! This possession session was broadcast across the UK and through the internet on the 16th of December.

Here in Autumn 2004, the season of the witch, Anaal Nathrakh has conjured up its evilest incantation yet in the form of "Domine Non Es Dignus". It is a record that both defies and defines the black metal genre. And as usual, they did it without the wimpy use of keyboards, vocal distortions or harmonizers. (The band even fooled a catholic into doing some noise guitar without telling him that it would be used for malevolence.) This torrid tornado tears out of the Season of Mist offices on November 1st and is sure to terrorize and devastate. Venomous vocalist V.I.T.R.I.O.L. recently stated, "(this record) got a bit broader in scope, and the general atmosphere is more claustrophobic. And we have created the fastest Anaal Nathrakh song yet! Paranoia, maniacal violence, actual projectile vomit, and disturbing evil....you can expect something horrific." This band has just gone six hundred and sixty six steps beyond accomplishing what they initially set out to do... create the most brutal music ever!
