Aither (from the ancient greek term Αιθήρ, έρος- “sphere of fire”- the lightest atmosphere of the superior regions, that embraces the atmosphere, considered by the ancient Greeks as the place of gods) were born in the city of Cosenza (a city of the south of Italy) during June 2005, from an idea by Pierluigi “Aries” Ammirata.
The first line-up was: Pierluigi “Aries” Ammirata (guitar), Rubens Lanzillotti (vocals), Fabrizio Saullo (keyboards), Domenico De Cicco (bass) and Alex Adriano (drums).
During the month of July 2005 the demo-CD “Awoken from beyond” was home-recorded at Alex's house with a PC and an analog 16-tracks mixer.
In September 2005 Alberto Filippelli joined the band as a second guitarist.
Aither are now working on the promotion of “Awoken from beyond” and are working on a new recording, trying to mix in the most personal way the various influences that are present in the band.

The entire artwork (in .zip format) and some live video tracks from the concerts played in the city of Cosenza, are also downloadable. The video files offer a short sample of the new tracks that will be featured in the next promo CD that the band is now recording!
