Back in 1980 Agent Orange were formed by Udo Welz and Peter Barthold. Since then the Band played in nearly unchanged line-up, and made themselves a name in the South German Metal Scene. Over the years they played Shows and Tours with Bands like GOTTHARD, PINK CREAM 69, AXXIS, BOB DYLAN etc. After their selfproduced 7" (Right Now / Weekend Heroes) and a couple of Demo Tapes, they entered the MTS Studio in January 1989 to record 8 Songs, which got released on their Debut CD "Agent Orange" in November 1991. In German Metal Magazines like ROCK HARD, HEAVY oder was?, etc. they got good critics, and their CD was best selfrelease of the month.
In between Agent Orange got casted for a wellknown German TV Series "Mit Leib und Seele", where they recorded 4 Songs for and even had an appearance in one Episode. After a couple of Demos and Pre-productions, they released in October 1997 their actual CD "Just Do It", including the "Mit Leib und Seele" Hit "Till I found you" as a Bonustrack (new recorded!).
Fresh, straight on and hard rocking with unused riffs, feeling for melodic arrangements, well placed breaks and a good clear sound Agent Orange present themselves in a slightly changed line-up. The powerfull and clear voice of leadsinger Udo Welz, and the perfect dual guitarwork is still the brandmark of the Band. The musicstyle is somewhere between Hard Rock and Heavy Metal without sounding trendy.
Now with the two new guitarists Edgar Schubert and Chris Gentner Agent Orange were able to get top class musicians. Udo Welz put down his guitar and is concentrating just on his vocals, and Stefan Barth took over from guitar to bass.
The Band is at the moment again rehearsing new songs for the next CD. With new stuff like "Believe me", they prove, that they are ready to rock into the next Millennium. The people were able to hear that on their latest German Tour with CHINCHILLA and HAZY SHADE.
