???? Wi Mee-Kyong – Bass Guitarist / Backing Vocals

Joined: Late 2023
Born: May 12, 1996 — Seoul, South Korea

Mee-Kyong grew up in a bustling Seoul neighborhood filled with street markets, late-night food stands, and live-music cafés. Her parents had no musical background, but she discovered rock through Korean indie bands playing in Hongdae and quickly fell in love with the electric bass’s grit and heaviness.

She began playing bass at age 12, drawn to how the instrument anchored everything around it. By high school, she was performing in small clubs, often being the youngest musician on stage.

Mee-Kyong’s influences include:

Sora Lee of Lunar Legion (her biggest inspiration — especially the tone + stage presence)

John Myung (technical precision)

Steve Harris (gallop rhythm and theatrical energy)

Tetsu (L’Arc~en~Ciel) (melodic bass phrasing)

She auditioned for Kazuki in late 2023, originally meant to be a session bassist — but her tone, discipline, and natural pirate swagger immediately secured her a full position.

Onstage she channels icy confidence: sharp movements, black-and-blue pirate gear, and cutting harmonies. Offstage she’s warm, slightly shy, and speaks fluent English, Korean, and Japanese.

Her Korean-language parts in collaborations give Oblivion Sacrifice a unique multicultural identity.
