Iron Roses

Od 2025 Strona zespołu

Kaori grew up in the port city of Yokohama, surrounded by the energy of both modern Japan and its historical Western influences — a perfect reflection of Iron Roses’ blend of classic metal and steampunk flair. As a teenager, she was drawn to the hard-rock and power-metal sounds coming from her older brother’s record collection, and she picked up her first guitar at age 13. By 16, she was already performing in local live houses and small festivals, known for her precise rhythm work and melodic phrasing.

Musical Development:
Kaori studied contemporary music at a small Tokyo music academy, where she honed her technique and tone control. Her biggest inspirations were twin-guitar bands that balanced harmony and aggression. She spent several years as a session guitarist before focusing on songwriting and refining her rhythm style — solid, groove-driven, and emotionally grounded.

Joining Iron Roses:
In 2025, while Iron Roses were recording early material for their third album, Yumi Nakamura began searching for a second guitarist to share the studio workload and expand their live sound. A mutual acquaintance in Tokyo’s metal scene introduced Kaori to Yumi after hearing her flawless rhythm takes on a session project. Kaori’s timing, tone, and chemistry with Yumi immediately impressed the group. After a single rehearsal with Aiko Tanaka and the rest of the band, she was officially invited to join Iron Roses as their rhythm guitarist.

Role in the Band:
Kaori provides the powerful rhythmic foundation that lets Yumi’s leads soar, often adding backing harmonies and arranging dual-guitar parts in the band’s newer material. Her calm, collected demeanor balances Yumi’s fiery energy, creating an ideal on-stage symmetry.

Personality:
Kaori is introspective but approachable — known among fans as the “Silent Gear.” Offstage, she’s often found tinkering with her guitar effects or sketching mechanical designs that sometimes inspire stage costumes.
