My name is Damian Gioia, and I am the controlled screamer for Thee Citadel.

My interest in music started way back in the early 90's when I heard Death : Leprosy for the first time and fell in love with metal.

I spent sometime listening to all kinds of shit until I heard my major influence, which was Pantera and their album Vulgar Display of Power.

I was officially hooked and ready to be in a band. Which didn't come until 2001, when I was in my 1st band Live Suffer Die, all original and going no where.

I decided to go back to square 1 and doing what I do best... Soooo in 2008 I started Unscarred : Tribute to Pantera and played happily with them till present day.

With all that, I still needed that creative outlet... that original sound, I found it when Thee Citadel came knocking on my door. We're about to take this sum bitch to a whole new level.
