First off, I can't believe these guys stayed quiet for 11 years with nothing at all, not even a single. I am left wondering how they just decided to release a full length out of nowhere, especially considering the fact it is independently released. That being said,, I'm very happy they decided to do so, because this album is extremely satisfying.

"Otbleski Trevozhnyh Dney"is clearly an album that belongs to the Epic Black Metal genre. All the songs have a triumphant, and battle feel to it, alongside an orchestral sound. Much like the band Draugnim, they are not an extremely fast, or complex band by any means. They are instead a band that gives off an atmosphere reminiscent to walking down a forest path: calm, but very intriguing at the same time.

I was very intrigued specifically by the vocals, I have heard many Epic black metal bands using traditional Black metal shrieks, as opposed to Death growls, which belongs to Death Metal. The vocalist for this band however, uses just that: death growls. It only makes sense however because a death growl is a lot more prominent and strong sounding then a shriek, which sounds more emotional and tortured. the vocals alone, along with orchestral elements work perfectly together to give off a triumphant vibe and I'm curious as to why it has not been done more often.

This album over all is a satisfying listen, with battle feel songs, with mid length symphonic melodic breaks in between, which usually occurs during an instrumental, and makes it feel like more of a story, which a lot of epic metal in general try's to tell musically.

Alongside being epic, this album is not for everyone, it is a very subtle album, relevant to atmospheric music, without actually being atmospheric. That's just being said, I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of viking metal, because of its tempo, black metal, and symphonic metal in general. When in the right mood, this album is extremely satisfying, and I have nothing but great things to say about this band, happy eleven year break Eldenhor, I hope to see a new album on the rise.
