Resonating
Anguish is all I know
Enduring
Pain has taken hold

Suffocating grip, that will not let go
Spreading, blackness infecting

Proliferating contamination
Seeping deeper past my bones

Defiling my core

9. MEMORY OF HEATHEN REIGN

Long ago in ancient days
Mankind could take pride
Rites, reverence

Sacrifice and ritual, that which dwells within
Which has established the boreal flame
The fire that burns intrinsically, eternally

A part of life, litany and liturgy
A pure and noble veneration
Of the forces that bind, a deeper understanding
Simple, honest and tried
Traditions steeped in blood

An intrusion from afar, ruling by the sword
Power and annexation, thus the modern age was born
