On the rainbow bridge
Meet Janus the keeper
Primordial wine splashes
On the multitude of eyes

Blood-shot
Time-seer
So many moons here...
There must be
Empty shells about

-What brings you here
To my eternal ocean?
-I yearn to become whole
Or a soundless star
For now I am neither


2. STRANGE BACKWARDS SEEING

The maiden holds her cups
And I gush from one to the other
Breasts shadow the entrance
To the other moon

Was it a vulture that I rode
Or some vile desert beast
After passing the tower
My head would not turn

Thou shall send forth a shadow
Of a cross bearing no head
Cast it be now over me
I lose the flame to live again
