1. INTRO

(instrumental)

2. RUNESANG

O the force of Runic verses,
O the mighty strenght of song
Cannot baffle all the curses
Which to mortal state belong

Slaughter'd chiefs,that buried under
Heaps of marble, long have lain,
Song can rend your tomb asunder
Give ye life and strenght again

It can quench the conflagration
Striding o'er the works of art;
But nor song nor incantation
Can appease love's cruel smart

When around his dying capture,
Fierce,the serpent draws his fold
Song can make him, wild with rapture,
Straight uncoil, and bite the mould.

When from keep and battled tower
Flames to heaven upward strain,
Song has o'er them greater power,
Than the vapours dropping rain.

3. BALDER'S PYRE

Midnight's sun on the mountain lay,
Blood-red was its gleaming
It was no night nor was it day,
But just between them seeming

Innocence is resting
On the blessed pyre.
All that breathe are taken
By an icy shudder.
Red as blood the sun sinks,
Mountain shadows lengthen;
Through the Ash's foliage
Time-at-Autumn sighs

Farewell, you bold,wonderful child,
You my heart,holiest pride.
Farewell, farewell my little son,
From my heart, you never went away

Balder's bale pyre, symbol bright,
On sacred hearth was burning...
Soon is quenched its wasted light,
Hoder's reign returning

Silent gods hold vigil
Round the livid Balder.
Fimbulnight is falling...
Let the pyre be kindled!
Dark the dome of heaven.
Odin grasps the torch-hilt;
Furrowed deep,his forehead
Toward his bosom bows.

Farewell, you bold,wonderful child,
You my heart,holiest pride.
Farewell, farewell my little son,
From my heart, you never went away

Midnight's sun on the mountain lay,
Blood-red was its gleaming
It was no night nor was it day,
But just between them seeming

Every hight-heroic
Fight is done forever.
Men shall henceforth purpose
Maught but woe and evil,
Strong shall stand the scoundrel,
Good in links lie bounden
Till the flame of Sùrter
O'er the world shall run.

Farewell,you bold,wonderful child,
You my heart,holiest pride.
Farewell,farewell my little son,
From my heart, you never went away

4. FALLEN IN BLOOD

Upon the Salisbury Plain face to face
Englishmen eager for home's defence
Shieldwalls woven in tight protection
Guthorm's warriors call to Odin

With voices grumbling
Danes delight in battle always.
'Gainst attack from either side,
Wielding words to frighten foemen.

The gods of war council Vikings:
Each man must valient be
After death, talk recalls deeds
Valkyries gather valiant men

The ravens bark above the din ,
The plain runs red with blood
Shields ring out and split asunder
From either side in equale number.

Warriors fight fearless and strong!
Before the blade his skull bites.
Little is lost for men who fight well
To fight again another day

Vikings men fought fiercely, far from home
On biting sword's and bloody fields, bodies fall

5. FAR FROM GOTLAND

Make room, you peoples, for our tread
Wa are the last of the Goths,
We don't carry treasure's load,
Wa carry one that is dead.

Shields to shield and spear to spear,
We travel to Northland's ground,
Until we have in the far grey sea
The Island Thule found.

It's said to be the island of troth
Where still valid are honor and oath
There we sink the King into the Earth
In a coffin of spears from ash.

Shields to shield and spear to spear,
We travel to Northland's ground,
Until we have in the far grey sea
The Island Thule found

Make room, you peoples, for our tread
Wa are the last of the Goths,
We don't carry treasure's load,
Wa carry one that is dead.

Shields to shield and spear to spear,
We travel to Northland's ground,
Until we have in the far grey sea
The Island Thule found

We come, make room, you peoples, for our tread
Through Rome's betraying gate.,
We only carry out king.
The crown was lost by fate

Shields to shield and spear to spear,
We travel to Northland's ground,
Until we have in the far grey sea
The Island Thule found

6. VERINEN SAAGAT

From the Baltic Sea our galleys sweeo
To South and West and East,
We bring our bows from the Northern snows
That the great grey wolves may feast.

To the outmost roads of the plunging sea
Our dragon ships are hurled,
We have broken the chain of the Southern Danes
And now we break the world.

Out of the dark of misty north
We come like shapes of gloam
To harry again the Southland men
And trample the arms of Rome.

Oh the mighty heroes
The raven circle above our prows
Draws pictures of the gods

And our chant is the song of the sea.
They hear our oars by a thousand shores
And they know that the North is free!

7. WODENKULT

Father,with your runes of magic!
Teach me secrets of existence!

Phol ende uuodan uuorun zi holza
Du uuart demo balderes uolon sin uuoz birenkit.
Thu biguol en friia, uolla era suister;
Thu biguol en uuodan,so he uuola conda:

Sose benrenki,sose bluotrenki,
Sose lidirenki:
Ben zi bena,bluot zi bluoda,
Lid zi geliden, sose gelimida sin.
