Rise! rise! shine me newfound darkness

Dark! dark! give me brand new madness
Scare! scare! remember who we were

Shine! shine! rebel against your masters
Ash! ash! too many shades of gray
Burn! burn! no fire without candles
Now! now! who told you to obey?

Roam rome, lust for life
Cross roads, get their dark boon
Home! home! thirst for spice
Black dog and the demon tunes

And now, a million hands turn to fists

3. FORLORN

Everything here is ancient
I know it inside
And I am old
Old and hollow

I've walked these same halls
So many times
Climbed these same stairs
In so many lives

Why must I face this darkness?
Or why should I even care?
And everyday the same bells toll
Far away, never for me

Each gate and pact
But i can't move
My soul is trapped

Why am i the only one?
Were all the shades once like me?
I see their eyes, yet they see through me
Vacant smiles behind rotted teeth

Towers and stones that reach the sky
To breathe fresh air and see the sun
Painted bright but brings no warmth
The world below, in static form

Crawl underground and carry on
Through filth and swamp and toxic fog
Searching answers, always alone
I drag my bones from lives before

Gaunt wanderer from forgotten realms
Came to this place seeking an end
But there are no ends where there is no death
And death is trivial after rebirth

Maybe I'll peer into the darkness
See what awaits me, beyond the veil
But I know inside, everything is ancient
And I am alone, hollow and old


4. THEY LIVE !

The greatest secret hidden from us
Fools that wander within the light
Our realms so scared of spaces dark
Afraid to find, our eyes were blind

For our fears they came
From the deep and the dark
To stay they came
To shape mankind

They are stone and scales and silent night
The screaming darkness of tortured minds
Behind, beyond, the rule of dreams
Keepers and watchers, the lords unseen

Can you see their smiles?
So many eyes and so many mouths
They sing, we sleep, never wake up

We are hosts to our masters and guests in their world
Slaves unaware of the chains they forge
Of how hard the whip cracks and with what we pay tithe

5. MADNESS CHIMES

It was the island, always the island
A dark history of soil full of rot
Glittering beaches and emerald tides
Brand new beggining of a new Montserrat

There I went, there I went to start it
A revolution in the treatment of the mind
There I would, there I could be proven right
A center for healing and a beacon of light

It was such, such auspicious start
The gale now picks me up, flings me from the tower
A ragdoll that pierces air, pierces like a dart
Mere seconds away, seconds full of hours

The tower, my tower to look down on the grounds
An indulgent smile as my victory unfolds
Where armies of crazies and white coats take the sun
A medical marvel, a bliss to behold

But the isle, cursed rock won't have it
Patients and minds take a turn for the worse
And the ghosts, they start crawling in me
They fill me, they fill me with rage

I can, i can see the rocks, speeding towards me
To hurt me with their death
But I, I cared for all of them, god knows I love them still
And I wouldn't change a thing

To cure them, to save them, I cut out their pretty brains
I stuck them in cells and dressed them in rags
I opened them up and chained them to tables
If i can't save them I'd rather they die

But they wouldn't wouldn't understand me
The shackles broke, they pound on my door
All that strenght, the madness in the numbers
Those bloodshot eyes, the terrible roar

So now its time for my flight to touch the ground
And for that mist to close its fingers around me
My corpse, hollow now, grant them peace before they die
Know I as I know, time is sure to prove me right


6. MARANON

I dream of a world that could have been
Under much older suns than these
The madman's dream
Inside of him, all around of us

We'd build this world out of moss and stone
Of salt and spice and blood on gold
And every dreadful thing found in this land

We'd pray to many gods
In many tongues made out of song
And cower like scared children when they roar

Oh! so many women yet to love
And so many men to kill
This was the pilgrim's dream
Of independence and of warfare

Where cities made of forests thrive
And jungles full of silver call
While death creeps on four legs hugging the dark

Where trees got drunk and grew like lies
And mountains rose to build the thrones
Of princes sitting coldly under the sky

Rocked by inmense oceans
An island in the night of the world
Savage beating heart
The river creates and murders life
The breath and its gift
Infects the orb with a poison coated knife

For people there to dwell
And against all lords rebel
To side with fire
And with all oncoming storms
To live like free men
And not to die but to transform


7. SONG OF THE HUNT

From the skies they come
From the boundless dark
That swells beyond
The twinkle of the stars

To fill their ranks
With cheap blood for war
To kill and die
To die and yet survive

Oh! I gazed into their void
The ever swirling madness that circles the known world
A cavalcade of slaves - lost souls bereft of fate
The festering remains of long shed blood

Spear in hand
Knee deep in mud
So afraid and cold
I'm a peasant fed to war

Fair and cruel
The hunt as judge
The rich and poor
We all share the same lot

Now close, now far
The chaos spiral rides
And upon touching the ground scorches the earth
The riders in black
Chase after the great war
The gathering of crops sown long ago

The harvest from the stars
Just glimpsed by mortal eyes
Myth turned to story turns to fact
Shapeless generals
Maddening images of man
The vortex of decay that haunts the spires

I was told, so I killed
And abhorred every blow
And the years became dust over me
At the edge of the world
I fell through the void
And I saw where the ages had gone

Now I sit at the graves
Where my grandchildren rest
And I see the comet in the sky
Heralds doom, comes for me
Knows I'm too drawn to run
'Til I'm found I sing the song of the hunt


8. THE SULFUR HEART

Opened are the gates
The wormhole takes us far
Where angels and devils are
Still battling for the stars

The passion and the beauty
In their neverending clash
Gave favor to the winds
Of divine fate`s call

Come hither oh sweet madness
Let us bask in misery
As ancient pagan seers would
Forever burn in glee

Devouring and consuming
A quest not for the meek
To venture fierce and wildly
Into the gaping journey

Days of thunder
Murderous hail
Soul binding
And white nights dead

Now set ablaze with rampant fire
Were these windows of the soul
Parading sure and luminous
Through the dusk of far beyond

Entranced in endless moonlight
At the shores of the stream
And bathed in cleansing wáter
While fireflies danced at ease

Like first light out of morning
Crept the threat of seeding doubt
The foe for all wind walkers
Who risk all into the night

And shadows cast from darkness
Can entangle sharpened webs
But still fire can melt blizzards
And the will to outspeed trains

Scent of night
And coming rain
For you and I
Must walk these flames

Baptized in brimstone
The heart now runs deep
Come hell or high wáter
We`ll forever roam free

No chains nor shackles
Will tame the scorching sprit
That has reached into the abyss
And sampled life within

For days are numbered
And true magic is scarce
For flesh always remembers
Boiling blood still runs strong

Where lovers dwell
Where madness swells
Where songs are made
And dreams give birth

Burn all bridges and come with me
A world for the taking We are the key!
Bypass fell crossroads laid out for thee
Submerged deeply within soul side seas

And thus this tale soon nears its end
At last old promises are regained
As empires crash and stars turn to dust
Still, two make one Just as Death yet may die


9. CHARIOTS OF THE GODS

Across the blackest black
On through unending skies
Covenant of space and time
Alike for god or man

They think us deities dear
Explorers and all seers
“Through clouds of smoke and fire
Sons of heaven appeared”

An age of slumber and entrapment
We awake to conquer again
From paradise to Solomon`s gate
The beacons mark the way

From faerytale and myth below
Come angel alien gods
Parading forth

We riders of seraphic vessels
Descend to scatter the light
To snuff the darkness, to further fire
Impart the wisdom of the stars

We are origin and end,
Sweet children made of stars
We are knowledge you forgot
Knowledge we take back

Now is time to test faiths
And acknowledge possibilities
To renounce new boundaries
Regain respect of olden fears

For comets once brought dread
And will do soon again
As your most enlightened minds
Comprehend who we are

The age of blindness is ended
We awake to teach once again
From the bleak below to the outer dark
The symbols show the way

Impossible forms of light
We - dominion

We are space and age unraveled
Elder beings made of time
We ride the void and tame the stars
