Their greed
A secret agenda that serves only thee
An eye for an eye

I did all that you asked of me
Now tormented by my ptsd

Every night reliving memories
Seeing the deaths of my company
They were my friends and family
Forever wishing it could have been me

The conflict reaps humanity
So vividly
The nightmares reoccuring
Haunting memories
Who could feel anything about the ants
Or even the maggots
Is that how they see us
Were just pawns in a game of human chess
They're not the king, they're the puppeteers

Killed your friend, they killed your neighbour
You killed their entire squadron

Under control of god
Is that how they see themselves
Are they Selfish bastards
I wish they had to take the knife
And slit someone's throat

Had problems
Had desires
Had a wife
Had children
