2. A DESCENT, CHARRED AND BLACKENED

Since my birth
The heart stay closed in the mind
And the eyes
Weak, dreamt of beauty I’d never seen
Weakness of will
Dissection of my flowing veins
Desperate to unchain these arms
Hold that which I’ve never known

Gorging, feasting upon the weaker prey
The pedestal, slowly rotting away
Rancid decay, leeching all life from me
Rend this flesh and leer, each cut a symphony
Ghastly horror, wraith of gloom
Empty chambers, heart like tomb
Vapid eyes, deadened skin
As your nightmare draws near
The night sends its chilling wind

Aversion, distilled, my will to seek your flesh

Darkened skies set the mood
Backdrop for the macabre
An emerald gaze pierces, unknowingly
Mirrored juxtaposed of who I was and whom I now be

Knife creates a cacophony
