4. ODYSSEUS : POLYPHEMUS

A fantastic voyage to the island of Kyklops
Out of sheer curiosity and protection from the gods
I am more than mortal human
They will welcome me with open arms

Twelve brave men share provisions around a fire
When Polyphemus returns from pasture
"Strangers who are you?"
Came a thunderous roar
The monster blocked his cave door

Once brave hearts cowardly sink to the floor
My answer would cause six mens' demise

Flesh torn from bone, limbs ripped to shreds
Polyphemus made sure there was nothing left

When he returns to the cave one final time

Escape from the cavern down the sheer cliffs
Taunting the brute who we came to for gifts
Soaring boulders come thundering down
An enraged blinded giant hurling rocks all around
The ocean swells swelled with crashing waves
But Odysseus managed to sail away

5. THLAYLI : WOUNDWORT

Sandleford Warren
Premonition
Human destruction
Runt seer rabbit spreads his concern
Death will ensue to those who are sure

Humanity is at peace with nature

Flee with nine others on the quest for solace
Stumble upon a strange Warren
A rabbit named cow slip greets them and then
Invites the outsiders to live among men

Hindsight 20/20, this warren a curse
Cult like rabbits who trade life for comfort

Adventure continues, arrive at watership down
Just as the vision foretold

But our brave rabbits need to recruit does,
To uphold their warren and dig their burrows

Police state just to the east
Tyrannical rabbits who are savage like beasts
Does treated like slaves in Efrafa
Despotic general Woundwort ruthless and brutal

A war ensues between the two colonies
Efrafa outnumber and outsize with much ease
But our heroes are cunning and brave
Bloody hare battle at watership to free to doe slaves

Seal off the burrows, retrieve the farm hound
Although greatly wounded, Woundwort will not back down
Lunge at the at the snarling beast from the farm
His bloody body, never to be found
