Lyrics

1. PRIMORDIAL CONSCIENCE

Though the perception of needs may differ for they,
Their perception of understanding
Can meet on the same plane,
Beings in trees & soil, in the mountain,
In the earth,
Innumerable threads make the cord
Or ancient love to connect,
Unfeeling metal hands
Rip out the mountains sides,
While numbed greedy fingers
Make ripples in money
Where rivers used to reside,
Funeral procession of logs strapped to trucks,
The wind a mournful eulogy rushing
Over the corpses of stolen loved ones,
Human perception warped from need to greed,
Performing meaningless destruction,
Broken promises the creed,
By the time they realize their actions
Were of meaningless means,
Into the void it will collapse,
The mouth grown too big to feed.

2. SHOKUSHINBUTSU

How long in this grave have I come to reside?
Drinking poison for years
To lacquer my pain inside,
Day by day feeling the ebb of time slow,
Day by day watching as the darkness unfolds,
Clasping to my chest the last pearls of life,
The crypt is rayless,
No longer can appreciate their shine,
My skin tightens to me, suffocating my bones,
Though it never could
Come close enough to comfort
A heart so wretchedly alone...
As I draw my last shaking
Breath my the fetid air,
My defective sight wanders
To a beam of the suns blazing Glare,
Gaze into its eyes, icon of the courage
I never knew,
I should have chosen freedom...
Succumbed to Sokushinbutsu...

3. WASTE OF AIR

Waste of air,
Gaping hole in the web of existence,
Not life nor death,
They do not want me,
I am the space in between
Where my heart does not beat, yet still I breathe,
A grey realm,
I see the ghosts that live there, stuck like me,
Filled with holes and ugly things,

So cold, so cold,
The rattling winds and men dying of old,
Even they do not know,
How cold, how cold...

When I die flowers will not rise from my grave,
As something does not grow out of nothing.
