Plagued by the inquietude, impeding me the way

The tales wrapped inside the image
Feeding on the painting’s pain

Stories of a lurid kind
Exposed
By the dying embers in the fire
Just bright enough to shed their light

Discern real, the truth from lies
Seize the chance, embrace the flame
Divert a sad, bad lifetime
Where worlds meet the eye

Occlude, petrified
Saccades show a sign of life
Disclose the aberration, a discordant symphony
Buried horror, taste delight
Sensing malicious pleasure
The empyrean is his heart on fire

He’s dusting the ashes of what is bereaved
But shaking the Grim Reaper’s Hand
Obfuscate, boast the evaporated
Stone-cold keystone

Sacrosanct but daunted
Chased by haunted hunters
Frigid claws tangle him
Weaving, breathing down his neck
Driven by the pattern of inconsistent perception
His environment has been drawn by his emotions

Every night I saw the painting, revealing me its mind
As I stared the painted gazed back at me
He shines a dead light
His view died with him
Nails, bleeding from razing his eyes
Seeping empty, forming a smile

I painted my
Reflection just to hide what I won’t be
From the painting looms a light I see
The dying embers laugh at me
