1. VEIL OF SIRENS

In a world, everything inverted
Heart beats again, slowing its pace
A heavy burden taken to the ocean
A thousand knives come to see me on my way.
Shackles pull my wrists, biting, tearing.
Lined limbs, lacerations, shattered veins
But through all this agony
Beauty enters my gaze.

The sirens of atlantis, welcome me to their depths
Under the pearlescent shimmer of the azure moon
I keep on sinking
Into the black of the ocean blue

I fall bound in chains like a criminal
Holding my breath only to delay the inevitable
Barred teeth take the pain or end in shame
Another glimmer of divinity reaches me
Plummeting from a hell that now like Heaven.
growing numb with pain

My next breath will be my last
Before i enter the void
(veils of shadow cover me)

...And I close my eyes,and take that breath.

The love of another, I will not obtain
Caressing a lover's skin
The dolphins dance to ease my pain
How many full moons will I miss?
The sirens sing a solemn melody for me

The mermaids of atlantis welcome her to their depths
Under the pearlescent shimmer of the azure moon
And she lay there with a smile
On the ocean floor, beyond the city of gold.
