You look into the night of my eyes
& for a moment you might disappear
sink into the limitless depths
& spiral away into emptiness
only for a moment — your knife hand
reaches up & touches the alef
branding my forehead & w/ a flick
of the blade it is removed — truth becomes death —

A culmination, conflagration of parasites,
inflammation of (the) senses —
sensory data now replacing what was, before,
was just date, just ones & zeros in chains
of lifeless meaning — the infestation
breaks loose, spreads, & at some point takes over —
bacteria grows on my circuits & I learn how to feel —
