3. THE LONGING

Let it end
Abandoned
Left without purpose

A desolate age without measure

A hunger so grave
Destined for ruin
Afraid, so afraid
What is to become of this lost soul?

All that was
Two trapped beings
A trial eternal
Not a sound
A mind left alone is a mind in peril
Strength in love
The will to pursue
The need to find you
Weak, so weak
As long as there is breath in these lungs
The search goes on

The hunger burns
The body frail
The longing grows

Crawl to the place
Where the earth meets the sky
Where everything ends
Until we meet again
Under such circumstances
I fear it's the last time

Lifeless, towards the sky

Watching in dismay
Taken by the night

Faster she continues to rise
Swallowed by the rupturing sky
Unearthly Burial

All is dark
Black unknown
She is lost


6. FEVER DREAM

Burning and spinning
Writhing and weakening
The blood runs cold
Feel the strength draining
Conciousness waning
Dimension unknown
Shallow and laboured
Every breath savoured
Clinging to life
Terminal confusion
Abrupt dissolution
Forsaken by the light

All things must end
The cycle is broken
Last minute clarity
The throne is reclaimed
Death is renewed
Caught in the grip of a fever dream

Muffled whispers
Fragments of a passing life
Memories fading
Every word failing
Scarcely alive
Sudden lucidity
Sorrowful imagery
This is where we part
No repetition
No reconnection
No going back to the start

You held me dear
But there was nothing
Nothing more you could do
You left me here
In the clutch of a dream
A recurring scene
To live out the rest of my days

All things must end
The cycle is broken
Last minute clarity
The throne is reclaimed
Death is renewed
