1. A LIFE BENIGHTED

Beyond this crystalline portal,
Lies a world, of sickness and disease
A sacrilegious affliction,
Brought upon us by ages of dread
A scourge of despair, which cannot be faced
By axe nor sword
Faith alone will conquer,
An oath to be scribed in blood
To usher in a golden era,
And bring salvation to man
So maddening is this revelation,
For those who dwell here are faithless
Under a yoke of oppression
By those who seek to extinguish the soul
Yet in the throes of this torment,
What has been written in blood reignites
And with this fire in our hearts,
We step forth to greet our death.


2. ISA

There exists a void,
Deep within
An emptiness lies waiting,
To surface and breed
A solitude, that threatens
My very will
My will to breathe
To exist.
Each day a battle wages
Contempt and disgrace
Honor and pride
Sorrow and stasis
But then come the gods
Of my fathers
Arms outstretched to taketh me
In their embrace
With them comes a longing,
An unparalleled need
The time to act is nigh
To drown in my sorrow
To wish for my blood to spill once more
Or stand among the righteous
And walk a path of glory.
