I see my companions fall dead,
Even further reducing my small wretched fleet.
Small crew of the poor tired men,
Led by brave cunning leader through hostile strange sea
Confronting the force greater than
Any man can imagine, predict and foresee.

Floating the dark ocean waves bored us down,
Plenty of time to recall and regret
There's just one ship and dark waters around
So much is lost, is there more to be found?
I close my eyes dreaming of solid ground
Of home I will never forget.

The long hard way home is behind
