He has become my salvation

The Lord is a warrior

4. EVERY DEED

Lord, do good to those who are good
To those who are upright in heart
But those who turn to crooked ways
The Lord will banish with the evildoers

God will bring every deed into judgment, including
Every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil

The Lord surrounds his people
Both now and forevermore

The Lord has done great things for us
And we are filled with joy
Those who sow with tears
Will reap with songs of joy

Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow
Will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them

5. MY HAND OVER MY MOUTH

I know that you can do all things
No purpose of yours can be thwarted
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand
Things too wonderful for me to know

My ears had heard of you
But now my eyes have seen you

I am unworthy, how can I reply to you?
I put my hand over my mouth
I spoke once, but I have no answer
Twice, but I will say no more

I am weary, God

I have not learned wisdom
Nor have I attained to the knowledge of the Holy One

Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Whose hands have gathered up the wind?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?

Every word of God
Is flawless
He is a shield to those who
Take refuge in him

Do not add
To his words
Or he will rebuke you
And prove you a liar

Two things I ask of you, Lord
Do not refuse me before I die
Keep falsehood and lies far from me
But give me only my daily bread

Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
And say, ‘Who is the Lord?’
Or I may become poor and steal
And so dishonor the name of my God

7. MINISTER BY NIGHT

Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord
Who minister by night in the house of the Lord

8. MY FORTRESS

Truly my soul finds rest in God
My salvation comes from him
Truly he is my rock and my salvation
He is my fortress, I will never be shaken

How long will you assault me?
Would all of you throw me down
This leaning wall
This tottering fence

My salvation and my honor depend on God
He is my mighty rock, my refuge

Trust in him at all times
You people
Pour out your hearts to him
For God is our refuge

Surely the lowborn are but a breath
The highborn are but a lie
If weighed on a balance, they are nothing
Together they are only a breath

Do not trust in extortion
Or put vain hope in stolen goods
Though your riches increase
Do not set your heart on them

My salvation and my honor depend on God
He is my mighty rock, my refuge

One thing God has spoken
Two things I have heard:
"Power belongs to you, God
And with you, Lord, is unfailing love"

And, "You reward
Everyone
According to what
They have done"
