1. THE PLANE OF VIGRID

(Instrumental)

2. THE DAY ODIN STOOD STILL

Night time fell black over Odin's great hall
Mimir back crying by Hlidskjalf the stout
"What kind of sorrow echoes over the bay?"
The crows answered not, blank over Asgård sky
Fear struck Huginn's eye and Odin stood still

Down below the mighty fjords of sacred Norway
Wading the waters across, hundreds of long ships
One full winter they sailed under the white cross
The old gods laid astray, hail the word of a new god
Mead were no more brewed, and Odin stood still

Nordheim
Home of those who once were brave
Nordheim
Your heathen pride grieves in far off caves
Nordheim
Welcome the light of foreign cross
The white god has come over Nordheim

Wise once were the men, if they wise for us were
For ropes of sand they seek other man to wind
And break the oath toward the ancient gods
Wiser than all those who once were brave
Olav del Hellige cast his eye to the heavens
Mismatching Thor's sight: and Odin stood still

In Valland he was, northwards he sailed
Barns he destroyed and peace he brought less
The nobles who fell in the fight for the gods
Had their wrecked by the rite of bloodørn
Though on mark of Christianity, and Odin stood still

Driven by bloodlust his folk he did crush
To refuse it was death, to fare far out hope
A while to the stock a while to the stone
Town after town his men fell apart
Come springtime Nordland had one god, and Odin stood still

Rabid wolves they were like across the norther coast
Troms og Finnmark fell by hit of a stake
The last good men to the white doors did bow
The blood stained banners roaring tall in the wind
Till Hammerfest bent conquered alone and Odin did speak:

In the god's name, glorious Norway did well
Since the fires of Muspell moulded its first stone
Fast its legends unfold, thousands of wolves of the sea

Much I have taught to the ears of brave men
Mighty Fimbulwinter has come
Yet the old golds stand proud, a new god live within

3. RAGNAROK 1: Blood OVER ASGARD

Dark grows the sun and in summer soon
Come mighty storm, would you know yet more?
On a hill there sat and smote on his harp
Eggther the joyous the giant's warder
Then to the golds crowed Gollinkambi
He wakes the heroes in Othin's hall

Farewell hallowed hall of Asgård
Now the gentle dawn radiates not gold
But blood red beams of one glorious horizon
Far we must go to our impending doom
Bifrost now wails and shakes under our march...

Much do we know and more can see
Of the fate of the golds the mighty in fight
Fast move the sons of Mim and fate
Is heard in the note of the Gjallarhorn
Loud blows Heimdall, the horn is aloft
In fear quake all who on Hel-roads are...

Farewel hallowed halls of Asgård
Now the gentle dawn radiates not gold
But blood red beams of once glorious horizon
Far we must go to our impending doom
Bifrost now wails and shakes under our march

4. RAGNAROK 2: CHAOS UNLEASHED

Down beneath the Earth sings another crow
The rust red bird among Hel's rows
Now Garm howls loud before Gnibahellir
The fetter will burst the wolves run free

Yggdrasill shakes and shivers on high
Up to the ancient limbs and the giants are loose
To the head of Mim does Odin give heed
But the kinsmen of Surtur shall his breathe forbid

Odin's breed, the end is near!

From the west comes Hrym with shield held high
In Giant wrath does Jornungandr ride
Over the waves he twists and the tawny eagle gnaws
Corpses screaming and Naglfar is loose

By the blood red horizon the two stars arise
The moon and the sun, beyond two wolves abide
Reached and shattered by the preys of the hunt
They both disappear on the world darkest grunt

Odin's breed, the end is near!

5. RAGNAROK 3: RAGNAROK

Darkness comes, crumbling Bifrost lights the way
The stars are gone while Asa stands still
From the northern seas there sails a ship
With people of Hel
At the helm Loki stands

After the wolf do wild men follow
Surtur fares from the south with the scourge of branches
The sun of battle gods shone from his sword
The crags are sundered the giant women sink
The dead throug Hel-way and the heaven is cloven
Now comes to Hlyn yet another hurt
When Odin fares the fight with the wolf
And Beli's fair slayer seeks out Surtur...
...For there must fall the Joy of Frigg

Last winter of Death
For the fearless Gods
Ragnarok

In anger smites Vithar the warder of earth
Forth from their homes must all men flee
Nine paves fares the son of Fjorgyn
And slain by the serpent fearless he sinks

A few man can stand Odin's son last sight
By the distant shores the Allfather within
Bloodied fangs of the fierce Fenriswolf
Across the nine worlds resounds: Odin er Død!

Hence comes Vidar his eyes strained in anger
Revenge he must toll by the father's demise
For a million boots he wore at once
Cracked the wolf's jaws in Vigrid astound

Silent grounds cracked the One-handed god's back
For Hel's beast feasted over Tyr's flesh
Dark grows the time on battling Vigrid plain
At the last breath Loke drew from Heimdall the fair

Last winter of Death
For the fearless Gods
Ragnarok

Silent witness of bore the twilight's last act
As Thyrfing moaned in Skirnir's two hands
Not by Freyr's side, but by the worthless ones
Surtr took chance and the white god begone

The sun turns black, earth sinks to the sea
The hot stars from the heavens above are drawn
Fierce grows the stream and the life feeding fire
Till flames leap high on the twilight of worlds...

6. 200 YEARS OF FURY

Europe shakes at the dawn of wolf time
Winter has come, Englishmen kneel
Hide by the shadows, four Norse men will strike...

Battle will come, blood by the sword
Two hundred black long ships cast death
Rowing fiercely southwards...

Bold in their armours, Vikings there roared
"alone will stand what steel bites not"
A glimpse of an eye, Lindisfarne fell down...

Thousand heroes roared by the burg
Banging swords with shields down rocky moats
Countrymen were slain, shrieking women raped
Bloodied axes hit pillars, looming siege over Paris...

Like waves on a shore, hordes bent France the old
King moaned by their throne and the rocks resounded
Of steel meeting flesh... as mead was brewed in the east
Already wolves were crowding the gentle flows of the Thames

At the break of dawn they came and the legends goes on
Englishmen they laughed over hairy Hunnish steeds
Stronger was Loki's grin by the Norsemen side
Ropes over poles pulling and the London Bridge is falling down...

Years passing by the sharpening the heads of the spear
Nations were created by the glory of snowy Danewirk
Rowing onwards tearing western worlds apart
Till each men knew fear of two hundred years of fury
