A childhood wrought with brutal toil, dysfunction, and disease
And then a tome received a home in the master’s knackered claws
Supremacy was promised over nature’s rigid laws

Mad mind of a dæmon spawned
Conjured from the Mouldy Ones
Revealed, the Nectarnomicon

My blood was sacrificed and joined with brewer’s yeast
Fomenting fermentation and the coming of the beast
A portal groaned from the wormy loam, green tentacles emerged
As eldritch madness summoned forth, my sanity was purged

The vintner agape with awe
Ensorcelled by the thorny maw
It was the last thing he ever saw
