1. INERTIA

I always have wished for a spark
Leading me, finding me from within
A guide, a word, a gospel, a scripture
Set loose my fear of the dark

Forthwith, reaching the path,
Then again, yearning pulls me away
Smoke and mirrors, vague illusion (wallowing inertia)

Do not force my hand, I beg
Grasping at straws that had slipped through time, once again
Parched for something unknown

Mes racines n’ont jamais poussé
Un coup de vent, et je suis arrachée
Les branches, les fleurs voulant toucher le ciel
Ne m’encrent jamais dans ce jardin de sel

It is tearing me in two,
This exposition, the rendering
Of false intuitions, I am
Being stretched to oblivion
I cannot take it, what’s one to do?
Where shall I go from here?

Suffocated by clouds
Pull me back from
The void and do not let go
I will clutch to your body with all that I know
