I’m done
Building statues to deceive my inner child
What I have grown to know is not what I seek

What will I take to the grave if not an array of misbeliefs?
All I have grown to show is not what’s at the core of me

Shed away the skin
Peel back all the layers of uncertainty

Was it my view that changed?
As I made my way through the fog
I could see it as clear as day
A collective vision turned to dust

All of my pillars have fallen
But to rebuild I must first be broken

And as I tear myself open
I feel the walls crashing down
How does one detach from this delusion?

I move away from the silence
A new awakening for the dormant mind

The day meets the eye of the wanderer
(Place your freedom inside a broken glass)
As they hunt down the refugee
(Leave your integrity hanging by a thread)
The trails left by an entity
Follow a different form of me

And when I am to follow
The motion of the wind
I will scatter in pieces
A conflict of destiny

I gave my undivided attention
To fulfill this dream
But I realize after all this time
It’s like holding on to smoke

Searching the way to the sea
Seeking the way to inner peace
I’ve been too blind to see
